These signs shall follow them that believe
Mark 16:17

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Signs shall follow them- we don’t see many signs showing up because we don’t see many Christians showing up.
Active or inactive Christianity

Active are those who show up and continue to show up.
Signs follow active Christians.
Matthew 16:2-4

2    He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.

3   And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?

4   A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.
You are not to be following signs…signs are to be following you

These signs were the manifestation of the Spirit at Work
1 Corinthians 12: 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

31 But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.

The faith dimension

The faith dimension
Dimension- a property of measurable space.

We are living in a three dimensional world. Everything is measured by length width and depth

There is a fourth dimension

Scientists have been trying to study this dimension, they call it quantum physics. It is the behavior of molecules at an atomic level. A dimension of phenomenon sometimes things happen that cannot be measured through normal scientific measurements.

Illustration – the gathering of photons when acted upon by exterior energy.
Illustration- light absorbed, transferred, and reflected.

Scientists will not be able to comprehend This dimension without the Spirit of God.

1 Corinthians 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

I would like to refer to this dimension as the faith dimension.

Faith- The deep conviction of the infallible word of God.

Faith nutrition- what feeds your Faith? The word of God.

Romans 10:17So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Faith activation- what makes faith work? Hope is what puts your faith in action.

Hebrews 11:1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hope – The painted picture of God’s vision on your heart

Faith impartation-how can you pass it on? Talk it, pray it, live it

2 Timothy 1:5 When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.

There can be a passing down of generational curses. In the same manner there is the possibility of passing down generational blessing. Spiritual gifts that reside in you may very likely be caught by your children.

Hide The Beer! The Pastors Here

Hide the beer! The pastors Here.

This was a song that the swirling eddies recorded talking about hypocrisy in many Christian colleges. In fact many Christian colleges banned this song from being played on campus.

Apparently talking about alcohol and Christianity is a touchy subject.

But let’s face it, alcohol consumption and things that surround that topic is kind of a hot topic right now among churches. I would like to address this issue.

Did Jesus drink wine?
Wasn’t he called the friend of sinners?
Wasn’t he partying it up?
Was the wine that Jesus drink alcohol?

Yes, there was alcohol in the Old Testament and New Testament.

Yes people got drunk back then too.

Yes there were drunken parties and orgies and the suchlike going on in the same way that it is today.

Yes Jesus did drink wine on several occasions recorded in Scripture, whether that was fermented or unfermented is debatable. Seeing that the word for grape juice in the Bible is translated wine and the same word for fermented grape juice in the Bible is also translated wine.

Yes Jesus’ accusers did hurl insults at him, trying to discredit his testimony by calling him “the friend of sinners.”

Yes Jesus is the sinner’s best friend for he is the only one who can bring total restoration and forgiveness to their lives.

Yes Jesus forgave those in sin and told them to sin no more.

No Jesus was not hanging out in these places full of sinful demonstrations. Nor was he taking part in their sin, nor was he sitting back and tolerating those behaviors around him.

No Jesus was not getting wasted with the boys at the lake.

Yes Jesus opened up his arms to all who wanted to draw close to Him. The sinner and the saint.

Yes Jesus did encounter all different types of people from all different walks of life. Many that needed healing deliverance salvation and miracles.

All Scripture must be judged by other scriptures to make sure that we have a full understanding concerning issues that we face. Let’s not just take one scripture and use that scripture to justify our position.

Now let’s talk about the topic at hand.

Although the consumption of wine might be debatable scripturally. Revelry, which is drunken parties, and drunkenness is quite black-and-white.

I wrestled with this topic last year quite extensively when I was confronted with this idea of mixing alcohol with ministry. I have known this to be a hush hush topic in the past. As long as You don’t talk about drinking or the party life You lead no one will care enough to confront. However this has more recently become an open topic. Once again we see this progression of “Christian Culture” What was forbidden in one generation has been tolerated by the next and normalized by third.

Here is my take.
Too often I have seen alcohol destroy lives, families, and Christian witness. I have sat in counseling meetings with people who’s life laid waste because of alcohol abuse. I have seen alcohol consumption lead to Domestic abuse, adultery, divorce, abandonment, unemployment and much more regret. For these reasons I will never condone the drinking of alcoholic beverage. In fact I will stand against it as much as possible in discouraging such things.

Some may feel that I am old-fashioned in this area. Believe me I have done much thinking and praying on this subject. The Bible says that men are to work out their own salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12). I whole heartedly agree with this scripture. Each person needs to decide in his own heart and conscience how he or she should handle the subject of abstaining or not abstaining from alcoholic beverage. Then you must be true to your conscience. However in the area of drunkenness and attending bars and drunken parties the scriptures are quite clearly against these things. Christians are not to be a part of or contributing to this lifestyle. (See scripture below)

So as for me and those that are ministering with me I feel very strongly and therefore have raised the standard of ministry. I believe it is best for those in ministry need to be abstinent from alcoholic beverage and refrain from establishments that promote reveling. I’m not saying that you have to stay away from restaurants that may serve alcohol or have a bar in house. Or that you should not attend a wedding celebration or other special occasions where some people may choose to have alcohol. If you find yourself in an establishment or in a celebration where alcohol is present definitely live by conviction. If you are a part of ministry especially in the ministry at Liberty Church, refuse to drink alcohol. And if the celebration starts turning a bit wild it is probably your cue to gracefully bow out. And please do yourself, your church, and the kingdom of God a favor and “witness” somewhere else. Stay out of the bars and other drunken parties. Don’t go in. There are many other places that we can minister to the lost. Let’s focus on being a witness for God in our everyday lives. I believe God will bless us greatly as the standard is raised.

Ezekiel 44:23 And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.

1 Thessalonians 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.

1 Peter 4:18-19 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

2 CORINTHIANS 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers, for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness?

James 4:4 – Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

Ephesians 5:11 – And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove [them].

Galatians 5:16-26 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Opening and closing the spiritual doors in your life.

Proverbs 8:34 ESV

Blessed is the one who listens to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting beside my doors

doorway or gate way is a point of entry and exit

There are no one-way doors in the spirit that I know of.

If I were to mention one possible one-way door it would be the lake of fire. I’m not so sure that God just doesn’t set a time to close that door of the lake of fire where no man nor spirit will ever exit again
God can open doors that no man can shut and he can close doors that no man can open.

Doors of salvation
Doors of faith

John 10:1-42 ESV

But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” …

Face the music

Face The Music

Genesis 3
The fall of man

Genesis 3:7
And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

Prior to the sin of man in the garden Adam and Eve were not running around in only their birthday suits, they were in perfect fellowship with God and we’re covered by the glory of the Lord. A bright aura of light shown all about them as it does from the Lord. The same brightness that was on Moses’s face. The same brightness that shown from the face of Stephen. The same brightness that was on Jesus. To be covered in the glory of the Lord is to live life without shame.

After the fall in the garden man was very ashamed. The glory of the Lord was removed from them immediately they recognized a difference they were naked and ashamed.

1. Fig leaves represent man’s efforts to cover our shame. Our humanistic efforts. Though our efforts are great often celebrated and noteworthy they are futile and unproductive long term.

Fig leaves. Every person though they may be arrogant, some what conceded, and proud of some of their accomplishments, they recognize they are naked they try to flaunt their fig leaves so no one sees past and realizes how utterly depraved we are.

Depraved not just Deprived
Deprived – desperately lacking basic needs. Destitute and poverty stricken.

Although certain Sinful habits can cause you to be deprived. so

Depraved. – morally corrupt; wicked.
“a depraved indifference to human life”
synonyms: corrupt, perverted, deviant, degenerate, debased, immoral, unprincipled; More

Every person must come to the understanding that without Christ we are morally spiritually and otherwise totally depraved. We must stop masking our spiritual condition with humanistic efforts.

2. We must face the music.

Illustration : story face the music

We may be able to fake and deceive others but we can’t deceive ourselves and we can’t deceive God.

– We must understand that there is nothing good in us except that which has been brought to pass from God. – We must recognize our total reliance on God for success in every area of our life.

3. We must learn to pray, to be prayed up, and to mix prayer with our gift.

In every thing prayer suplication
Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV)
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Prayer mixed with a gift gets something done

Story:in Japan. According to the old story, there was once a man in the imperial orchestra who couldn’t play a note. Because he was a wealthy person with great influence, he demanded that a place be given him in the group because he wanted to “perform” before the emperor. The old conductor agreed to let him sit in the second row of the orchestra and hold a flute, even though he couldn’t read a dot of music. When a concert would begin, he’d raise his instrument, pucker his lips, and move his fingers. He went through all the motions of playing, but never made a sound. This deception continued for two years.

Then the old conductor died, and a new conductor took over. He told the orchestra that he wanted to audition each player personally. One by one they performed in his presence. Then came the phony flutist’s turn. He was frantic with worry, so he pretended to be sick. However, the doctor who was ordered to examine him declared that he was perfectly well. The new conductor insisted that the man appear and demonstrate his skill. Shamefacedly he had to confess that he was a fake, a hypocrite. He wanted the prestige of being part of the orchestra, but since he never took the time to learn his instrument he was unable to “face the music.”

Is The Church Irrelevant?

Is the church irrelevant?

Rob Bell former founding pastor of Mars Hill Bible church, a mega church in Michigan recently made comments on Oprah Winfrey show stating his reasons for feeling the church is irrelevant. His viewpoints were specifically do to the church being culturally out of touch widely for their refusal to accept gay marriage.

The church has been belittled to a nonproductive organization

I believe this is not due to the lack of being irrelevant but rather do to The abundance of being reprobate.

Romans 1:28

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Reprobate-

I believe this is the reason why. The church is…

1. Intimidated
Much of the church has become intimidated to take a biblical stance on relevant issues. We preach to our youth to stand up in the midst of peer pressure, but we, as their mature example of Christianity, have buckled time and time again in the face of our peers. We have proven ourselves to be unwilling to make a hard stance concerning our own faith. It’s no wonder we have less than 4% of our nation’s youth serving the Lord currently.

Ezekiel 2:6. King James Bible
And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.

Jeremiah 1:8 Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord.

2. Uninterested
We are uninterested in The viewpoints of God found clearly in the word. We are uninterested in hearing biblical preaching. Because if we started paying closer attention to God’s word we know that it will come in direct conflict with our current worldview position. So instead of being confronted with the image in the mirror we choose to not look in the mirror.

2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

3. Uneducated
When “The Christians” are faced with moral issues we don’t know where we should stand. since we have no idea where the line is drawn biblically, we often find ourselves straddling the area where we feel the line should be drawn. But because we are uneducated in truth when challenged why we are standing where we stand, we gracefully sway in the direction of our peers. We find ourselves being double minded agreeing with truth in one circumstance and disregarding truth in another.
We have been culturally educated but not biblically educated.

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

4. Uninspired
After hearing the same message preached 500 different ways we tend to come to church with no expectation. After singing the same hymn for 50 years we have no spirit of worship. So after we are unaffected in worship and unaffected in the word The only thing left is religious duty.
They have no passion for the Lord they are attending services
Compulsively giving
Reluctantly serving but if you take the duty away there is no deep relationship to sustain their faith. They are easily swayed and fallen because there is no preacher to encourage.

Hebrews 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

5. Unholy

2 Corinthians 6:17. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

Ezekiel 22:26. Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

Profaned- to make common what is holy

There will be 5 manifestation of exceptional glory this year

1. Glory given to God
2. Glory revealed to unbelievers

5. Glory rewarded to man

1. Glory of Adam
2. Glory of Abraham
3. Glory of Moses
4. Glory of Jesus
5. Glory of the church

Without God we are totally deprived. Lost And displaced. Completely separated from God

Sin separates man from the glory of God

Romans 3:23. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

The face of God – that part which expresses reveals the great glory

Our sins hide his face from us. We cannot fully see the glory of God unto the sin is removed.

Moses wanted to see God’s glory. The glory of God is seen in the face of God. God said you cannot see my face but he said he would allow Moses to see his hinder parts. Which means he was able to see what comes behind his glory. He was able to get a glimpse of what happens after the glory shows up.
Exodus 33:18-23And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory. And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy. And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. And the Lord said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

But later on it was said that Moses talked with God face-to-face. What happened. Why was his glory all of the sudden able to be revealed to Moses? I believe it was because Moses got rid of that which separated and blinded his vision of God’s glory. He came before God with sin removed. And then he came down the mountain and his face was shining with the glory of God. And the people didn’t want to look at his face. Why? Because their hearts were hardened and they were afraid because of their sin.

Exodus 33:11And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.

2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Jesus Christ is the face of God- he is the express image of God. He was and is everything that we could not be because of our sin. The good news is because of Jesus Christ we can now Bare the face of God’s glory to the world.

The reason you are just excited about Jesus is because you have seen his glory. The world around you has not seen what you have seen. If they could only see what you see they would be excited to.

Too many churches want to show off their body to the world. They want the heathen to see how great their church is. Please come to our church don’t worry about sin. You can keep that. FAll in love with our body. Unfortunately if you fall in love with our body but you never see the face of the church which is Jesus, something in our body will ultimately changein what you once loved in our body will be gone and then so will you.

Body of Christ we must show the world the glorious face of Jesus. We need to stop bodybuilding and pay more attention to seeking the glory of God.

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Habakkuk 2:14“For the earth will be filled With the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, As the waters cover the sea.

There will be 5 manifestation of exceptional glory this year

1. Glory given to God
2. Glory revealed to unbelievers
3. Glory revealed to Israel
4. Glory revealed to the church
5. Glory rewarded to man

Glory given to God. – how will this be?
1. Because our lives and our witness give him glory

We have been created for his glory
Isaiah 43:5-7 “Do not fear, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east, And gather you from the west. “I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ And to the south, ‘Do not hold them back ‘ Bring My sons from afar And My daughters from the ends of the earth, Everyone who is called by My name, And whom I have created for My glory, Whom I have formed, even whom I have made.”
We were not created for our own pleasure and we were not created for our own fame. We were created to make his name glorious, yes created to bring him fame.

A. Our Works, our thoughts, and our words
Isaiah 66:18-19 “For I know their works and their thoughts; the time is coming to gather all nations and tongues. And they shall come and see My glory. “I will set a sign among them and will send survivors from them to the nations: Tarshish, Put, Lud, Meshech, Tubal and Javan, to the distant coastlands that have neither heard My fame nor seen My glory And they will declare My glory among the nations.

John 15:8 “My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.

Matthew 5:16 “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Challenge: (glorify the Lord with your life-it really is the least we can do

2. Because the work of the Lord is revealed

Revelation 15:4 “Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy; For ALL THE NATIONS WILL COME AND WORSHIP BEFORE YOU, FOR YOUR RIGHTEOUS ACTS HAVE BEEN REVEALED.”

Psalms 86:8-10 There is no one like You among the gods, O Lord, Nor are there any works like Yours. All nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You, O Lord, And they shall glorify Your name. For You are great and do wondrous deeds; You alone are God.

Challenge: (Allow his work to be revealed in you and through you)

3. Because of fierce judgment

Revelation 14:7 and he said with a loud voice, “Fear God, and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come; worship Him who made the heaven and the earth and sea and springs of waters.”

Revelation 11:13 And in that hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell; seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.

Ezekiel 28:22-23 and say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I am against you, O Sidon, And I will be glorified in your midst. Then they will know that I am the LORD when I execute judgments in her, And I will manifest My holiness in her. “For I will send pestilence to her And blood to her streets, And the wounded will fall in her midst By the sword upon her on every side; Then they will know that I am the LORD.

Challenge: (God will receive the glory due to his name. Don’t be one who waits to give him the glory until after His judgment has fallen)

Unified with one another and to God through The body and the blood of Jesus Christ. Take communion together and start the year right with past sins left behind us and the glory of the Lord before us.

2015 the year of exceptional glory

Prophetic word for 2015

Many that claim to be Christ’s are in a spiritual stupor. They are alive but not alert. They are functional but have no fervor. They are educated but have no discernment. They are purpose driven but not passionately devoted. They have charisma but they lack character. They have the honor of men but lack of the holiness of God. Be sober be vigilant church. We are not those that are in darkness but we are in the light.

I never expected The Lord to tarry this long. The Lord said it is because his church is withholding the darkness and that he is long suffering. Soon Those that holdback will be taken out of the way. It seemed to me as if The Lord was saying that the time that is in his control may not be set in stone. That he is waiting for the last possible moment to remove his church and begin the final season of his wrath. In one moment of his choosing the church will be changed and then raptured. He wants as many as can possibly be converted to come in. Not wishing that any should perish.

I envision God watching from the balcony of heaven as if from a high placed coaches box. Leaning over intently just waiting to make the final call at the perfect time.

The darkness is closing in. It is becoming increasingly more dangerous for my elect but there is a soul that is on the brink of conversion.

He’s watching. It’s his call. We keep holding

I don’t want my elect to be in the struggle for too long. Time is being shortened. I promised that there would no harm come upon them.

2 Thessalonians 2:7For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way.

Romans 8:19-23 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
