As we celebrate Independence Day I want you to remember not only those that fought and died for freedom, but also the purpose, that meant so much to them, that they were willing to sacrifice their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor.
The freedom that we all so greatly cherish did not come easy and did not come cheap.
Such Freedom is seldom released by the oppressor without a fight. Freedom must be desired, it must be demanded, It must be declared. On July 4, 1776 our forefathers boldly signed The Declaration of Independence. They did not receive their freedom after the war was over, their freedom was obtained at the moment of their declaration. They then battled to secure the independence they declared.
