Broken for you

Broken for you

This is my body broken for you.

broken is associated with things are needing thrown out. Things that we no longer need. Things we ignore or in some cases things we can’t get our mind off of or get past. Things despised and Damaged, rejected ridiculed often overlooked passed by sometimes laughed at.

The World is full of broken people… People feel that they are no longer needed that they are castaways ignored a bother damaged despised rejected ridiculed and often passed by and not taken seriously. If you are broken often times you feel like you’re the only one. But you’re not the only one there are many broken people in this world. Why are there so many broken people?

Here are three reasons people are broken.

1. Sin destroys peoples lives and leaves them broken and often full of shame. Satan has a patent on sin he is constantly trying to sell you on his sinful ideas.
John 10:10 says that he is the thief and he comes to steal kill and destroy. You must always remember that Sin takes you further than you want to go. Keep you longer than you want to stay and in the end you pay more than you ever thought you would pay.

2. Selfishness. James 4. Causes quarrels and fights. It causes Broken relationships. Addictions assaults… Consuming in our own selfish desires and lust. Is damaging for us but often times we become the cause of other people’s brokenness.

3. Unholy soul ties. A soul tie is something that God intended to bond 2 individuals together for life. When Satan gets involved he takes what God meant for good and turns it into something perverse. Soul ties are now often made instead of lifelong commitments. When marriages or relationships breakdown one may try to walk away from the individual but the breaking of the Soul tie leaves one feeling very broken just as if the other partner died.

Genesis 34:1-8
1 Corinthians 6:16-17

Whoremonger and prostitutes. Today we consider these people only those who give sexual favors for pay. Scripturally a prostitute or a whoremonger is someone who desires and seeks after sexual gratification outside of God covenant of marriage.

Because of this sex crazed society we live in and the epidemic of fornication we have an abundance of brokenness.

If you are in an unholy relationship is time to break free. It is time to do things God’s way. Maybe you truly do love the person you are with. Maybe you both have given your hearts to the Lord. Is that is the case then both should agree it is better to marry than to burn.
1 Corinthians 7:9

2 corinthians 6:14 do you not unequally yoked together with unbelievers

These things are some of the reasons why the world is full of broken hearts, broken Minds, sometimes broken bodies, and broken homes

“The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18).

a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise” (Psalm 51:10, 17).

Sometimes things need to be broken before healing can come and fulfilled restoration. Sometimes our pride needs to break, there are times that without things breaking down we don’t see a need for change.

The number one priority God has for us is that our souls will be saved. God wants you to live totally restored. And he wants you to have life more abundantly.

“I live in a high and holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit” (Isaiah 57:15).

I broke the bars of your yoke and enabled you to walk with heads held high” (Leviticus 26:13).

This is my body broken for you. In the brokenness of the flesh of Jesus he demonstrated to us how that sin brings great damage and brokenness but restoration is possible.

Thomas said until I see the holes where the nails were in his hands I won’t believe. Jesus showing up in the midst of them showed his hands where the nails were. Thomas believed.
Jesus was standing there in his resurrected glorified body. He did not say look at the scars on my face and the bruising he did not say look at my back and my flesh from the cat of nine tales in which the soldiers lashed him within an inch of his life. The glory of the Lord removed all of these.

The nail holes in the hands and feet of Jesus reminded us of the pain suffering and agony that he went through on the cross for us. It reminds us of the brokenness and the promise of restoration.

The death of Christ and resurrection has made it possible for broken people to be be healed in their bodies and in their minds. It made it possible for broken relationships to be mended and for broken homes to be restored.

“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).

“This is my body broken for you”

and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of Me.”

Once you receive healing and restoration you must make the choice to change what causes brokenness
